As a Project Assistant within the Peace & Security Department at GOPA PACE, you will play a vital role in supporting the project management team in various administrative and coordination tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical experience and develop foundational skills in project management within international cooperation and development.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
1. Administrative support
- Assist in organizing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support in scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, and taking minutes.
- Aid in maintaining project databases, records, and files, ensuring they are up-to-date.
2. Coordination and communication
- Assist in coordinating logistics for project-related events, workshops, or training sessions.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders by relaying information as directed.
- Support in drafting correspondences, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Project Manager or Project Team.
3. Project support
- Assist the Project Manager (PM) or Junior Project Manager (JPM) in various tasks related to project monitoring and implementation.
- Aid in monitoring project timelines, highlighting any deviations or issues to the Project Manager (PM).

Qualifications and key skills
- Recent graduate or advanced student, preferably in fields such as Political Sciences, International Relations, EU studies, Social Sciences (economics, law, sociology), or Public Policy.
- Proficiency in English and French is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic or Spanish would be valuable. Knowledge of other languages, relevant to our regions of work will be considered as an asset.
- Demonstrated interest in the cooperation & development field, preferably linked to our sectors of expertise.
- Ability to effectively engage and establish positive relationships with individuals.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Resilience to work under stress and pressure within an international setting.
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and task execution.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Internet and database.
